FAQ

  • What is Mothership Brewery?

A brewery located at 115 Saint Paul St (BTV) with Head Brewer Destiny Saxon (with support from long time brewer Paul Sayler). The name Mothership Brewery was introduced January 2026.

  • What was the brewery name before?

Mothership evolved from Zero Gravity Craft Brewery. Destiny Saxon and Paul Sayler brewed as Zero Gravity for 18 years before separating Saint Paul Street into an "autonomous" brewing operation in 2022.

  • What was brewed first at American Flatbread?

TLA IPA, Villier’s ESB and Extra Stout were the first batches brewed under the name Zero Gravity Craft Brewery in 2004.

  • What are your Flagship beers?

Americana (Classic American Lager) and Yonder (IPA).

  • How many beers do you make?

We are always curating a rotating list while experimenting with new styles. Some brews are only available seasonally (e.g. Oktoberfest) or as a limited release. Check out our menu to see what we’re pouring now and ask for a list of our archives!

  • What is the relationship between Mothership and Idletyme Brewing?

We work closely with each other, à la sister breweries, sharing intellectual thought with Idletyme Head Brewer (John “Jack” Boyle) and developing recipes and menus collaboratively. Occasionally, we share seasonal beers with one another to round out draft offerings while highlighting the strengths of each brewery.

  • What is the relationship between Mothership and Zero Gravity?

We continue to work with one another other, but in a more limited fashion than with Idletyme. This includes assisting with raw ingredient needs as well as participating in tasting panels, hop selection, and R&D projects.

  • Is Mothership beer available anywhere other than American Flatbread Burlington?

Currently, Mothership does not distribute beer to other locations for on-premise consumption. Growlers may be available at the brewery for purchase by consumers (ask your bartender!). Occasionally, Mothership beer may be found on draught at Idletyme in Stowe and at regional beer festivals/events.

  • Is Mothership Brewery part of the Vermont Brewers Association (VBA)?

Yes, the brewery joined in January 2025 as Brewery at American Flatbread Burlington, and will be Mothership Brewery as of January 2026. We are proud to participate in VBA’s brewery passport program and the Vermont Brewers Festival!
